Well, I don't know what happened, but suddenly it's the weekend again. Where did the week go? Not that I'm complaining - since I started working, I have developed a new appreciation for the weekend! I do remember that it was a strange week, though. In fact, there was a lot of down time. I went to the gym, watched an excessive amount of TV and of course, kept my hands busy. I worked like crazy on my knee high socks after realizing that it was almost April and I hadn't even started my sockapaloooza socks yet. Fortunately I had the yarn, but the needles I wanted to use were in the knee highs. I think this picture is funny because the shadows make me think of Amsterdam's red light district and because my powerful calves don't appear as "powerful" as they do in real life.
My sockapaloooza socks are coming along fairly well. There are only two things that currently bother me about them. First, there is a weird black line around the foot where I picked up the stitches after the heel flap and second, there is a huge green area. This picture doesn't do it justice, but it's much larger than the other colour sections. Hopefully it will grow on me because I have a history of ripping out FOs for less.
This week was also Stevie P's birthday. Happy Belated Birthday, Stevie!

allison, that red-light pic is hilarious. i love it. the socks look fab. maybe we can wear our sister-knee-highs out together one day. it could be funny. or potentially embarrassing. i can't decide which.
btw i think the sockap. socks look great. don't rip them!

nice socks.
hope that you'll like the ones i'm making for you now, but who knows. (sadly this is actually the first time i've knit socks in any colour other than black) so i'm hoping you like them.
and now for a random question:
so, you're a girl. do you know what your parents would have named you if you had been a boy? are there stories behind either name? can i learn about them?
cool.

I LOL'd at the red light socks. Pure LOL'd right out there.
Once again, sock pal asks the most random question about life and plans to translate it into socks.
I must say, I am excited to see the socks that mysterious sock pal will be creating.
Thanks for the birthday wishes! I got drunk at a bar when I left you on Saturday, on my own like a good faux hipster alcoholic, and wrote 20 more pages for MY NOVEL!

OK, so your legs look hot. I think the combination of the stripper wedding shoes and the hot pink knee high have tranformed your calf into the size of a real persons. He He He. Love your calves, mini or stretched.

Pink knee sox lookin' good.
My sweater for the precious one (from my Romin Gift Certif yarn) is coming along slowly and looks cute.
At knitting group I learned that the Yarn Boutique is now reno'ed with the new owners and is fab.
Also in today's paper was an article about Dr. M. Fehlings latest stem cell research--very interesting.
Looks like spring is really coming.
Stevie is looking great. Happy BDay to her. I didn't know on Sat. AM when I saw her.
Precious one has been in tea party mode lately---lots of fun.
Photos in Romni look great.
